Kemah (for real this time)

With Grandma, Aunt Em, and Seth in town, we thought it would be a good excuse to make another attempt at Kemah. We went on a Monday morning and found no crowds and great weather!

Weight Limits? The ride did seem to go slower than normal.

Don't let the expression fool you, this was Jason's favorite ride!

The Bouncer is one of our favorite rides. It goes up slowly, then drops you...over and over. Henry just made the height minimum (kinda) and he really wanted to do it! So...like good parents we encouraged him. His facial expressions tell everything. He loved this ride and ended up doing it over 10 times!

No age restrictions on this ride. Here's the proof!

Ahhh Pharaoh's Fury! Kaeta finally met the minimum height requirements! We tried to sneak Loreli on, but they denied her...twice! Next year Lolo--taller shoes! Kaeta was pretty excited...until the end. She later told us that she started crying because she was worried that Jon was being a little careless at the end of the ride and let go of the bar. Jon said that he never touched the sissy bar--thats for girls.

To make up for crying on Pharaoh's Fury, Kaeta took on the challenge to ride on the largest roller coaster at Kemah--the BULLET!

This ride isn't a picnic, it does everything in its power to make your head detach from the rest of your body on each and every turn. Plus, as we all know, wood roller coasters are fun because you never know when one of those timbers is going to SNAP and send you off to an early death!

Sure Kaeta was scared out of her mind and shed a few tears during the ride, but she still did it ! Twice! ...and she wanted to do it again, but the rest of us had neck injuries to nurse. Here's her victory pose! Her very first roller coaster!

Yes, Calvin had a good time relaxing.
