Work on the interior didn't really start until mid-November--nearly 2 months after the storm. Then when it did start, it seemed to be at the slowest pace possible. We're certain our contractors hated us because we kept trying to tell them how to do their jobs. The sheetrock work was the most gratifying because it covered the ceiling and hid the attic, which allowed us to install insulation.
Amie working how only Amie can work--with a phone to her ear.
She's a hard worker!
We worked hard to save as much of Amie's mural as possible. We had the guys cut out areas near the floor so we could check for water damage and replace insulation.
New countertops!
Ahh, so satisfying to get rid of our tile countertops--impossible things to clean.
Notice the dust orbs floating around...
we all have respiratory problems now.
We finally got rid of our loud dishwasher with a slightly less loud dishwasher.
(We should have spent more money!)
