We started a family tradition several months ago that got ignored during the initial chaos after the storm. With a new roof over our heads and feelings of immense gratitude for our blessings we felt like now was a good time to pick it back up: We love to visit the temple monthly as a family. Going to the temple with 4 kids is a sometimes (uh...most of the time) difficult, but we've found that if just one of us enters the temple while the other walks the temple grounds with the kids then we all receive the blessings available at the temple.
The strong spirit of peace and eternal values we feel there is a great teacher and reminds us that the minor discomfort in our home is less than a blip on the eternal scale of our lives. We are extremely grateful for this knowledge.
